4 Stars Not good for SD TV
I ended up purchasing this TV over a comparable Samsung model as it was cheaper and I liked the “Energy Saving” button on the remote for ease in adjusting brightness.
My biggest problem is SD channels look fuzzy. HD channels of course look bright and beautiful – however, as Comcast only offers about 10 HD channels – the rest look blurry! And I understand that that’s a common problem with HDTVs. I also understand some HDTVs handle SD better than others – I don’t think the LG handles it very well.
Another issue I have with this TV are the black levels. I bought this TV to replace a 5 year old 18″ AOC LCD TV and it lacks in picture quality, however its black levels are actually better than the LG’s! I switched back and forth several times while watching, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and I adjusted the settings on the LG – the black was much darker on my old AOC and the picture seemed richer because of it – the LG seemed washed out.
I researched this LG model and found how its black levels were not rated as highly as the Samsung. I think a little extra money would be worth it to have better black levels.
I also don’t care for the matte screen. It does reduce glare but I think picture quality is sacrificed.
5 Stars Great first LCDTV
This was my first LCD TV purchase so I wasn’t too sure what I was getting myself into. I did some extensive research and was trying to decide between this LG and a similar Panasonic LCD TV for about the same price. After going to the store and seeing pictures from both TVs I went with the LG because it definitely looked better than the Panasonic in person.
After experiencing this TV for a couple weeks, I can say that I’m definitely happy with my decision. The picture and sound quality are superb. The pre-set picture settings are really handy and I actually found the standard setting to produce a better picture than anything I tried to set on my own. While it may not have all the bells and whistles that many similar TVs have, it’s picture and sound cannot be beat for the same price. I find myself wanting to watch more TV just to see how clear the HD channels come in. I’ve even had a lot of comments from guests about how nice the TV set itself looks, not to mention the superior picture it produces. For an LCD TV it also has great sound that comes from its “invisible speakers,” which makes for an even better experience. I highly recommend this LCD TV for anyone looking to get a lot of bang for their buck.
5 Stars Works for me
This was our first LCD TV and we are pretty happy with it. It is in our rather small bedroom a couple of feet from the foot of the bed and to tell the truth it is really too big. We could have gotten a 26″ or even a 22″. One review mentioned the sound, actually it is the best built in TV sound I have heard. Another review mentioned a wobbly stand. There are four screws you have to put in after pushing in the mounting piece, I guess if you have brain damage and refuse to do anything correctly ever in your life, yours might wobble too. The screen looks great from all possible angles, the only thing I would change is that the images look oversharpened sometimes. I don’t know if that is the signal we are getting, or something the TV is doing, or if we might even be able to change it if we hunted through menus for a couple of days. Not to say that the menus are hard to handle, it is probably no better or worse than any other in that respect, it’s just that engineers generally get carried away. I was disappointed that content from our local stations is not HD, or is still 4:3 format with jaggy graphics. I guess they are just too cheap. But network content getting our signals over the air is pretty much full screen and immaculate. The control is sturdy, simple and well laid out. For example, the buttons are different shapes and sizes, and the power button is well separated from the channel change button. If we move this set elsewhere and get a smaller one for the bedroom, I would get the same thing.
5 Stars Excellent TV for the money
I bought this with birthday money and it is worth every penny. I don’t watch too much TV but got it mostly to use as a monitor for my laptop. It doesn’t come with a VGA cable but you can pick one up at Target like I did for about $15 which isn’t bad considering how useful it is. The TV came very well packed and was extremely easy to put onto the stand. I don’t intend to wall mount it and the stand it came with is very stable and I have it sitting on a desk 3 feet off the ground. The TV also swivels on the stand about 45 degrees. Since the resolution is only 720p its not great for a monitor but it isn’t bad at all. Text is sometimes hard to read but that is easily fixed by enlarging text in your web browser.
I went to several [...] looking for the right TV. I watch a lot of sports and a lot of the TVs in the stores had so much motion blur during fast motion it would’ve been very upsetting to purchase such an awful TV. I think the problem was the screen refresh time because most of the TVs in the store had a 6ms refresh time while this has 4. If you plan on watching sports or fast action movies do not get anything higher than 4ms or you will be disappointed. I really liked the Samsung but in the end decided I didn’t want to pay neither the CA sales tax nor the CA recycle tax so I decided to purchase online. If you don’t have a large sales tax or a BS recycle tax then you might be better off purchasing in the store so you don’t have to wait for it. Strangely enough very few stores carry LG but I decided to take a risk and buy it online and it has paid off very nicely. I wouldn’t even think of trading this for another one (that is until 3D TVs come out).
As a TV it is great all around and the menu offers a variety of settings so you can really play around and see what suits you best. The energy saving feature is another plus that goes above and beyond what I got this for. I am using about a 20 year old set of bunny ears and I can get most local stations in HD though your mileage may vary depending on where you live. Don’t waste $$ on an “HD antenna” if you don’t need it–it’s just a cruel marketing ploy to get you to buy something a standard set of bunny ears will get you just fine.
The only drawbacks I found with this TV is that it has no jack for earphones and it only has 2 HDMI plugs. I don’t use HDMI for my set up so its not really a drawback for me but it may be for others. Since I mainly use the TV with my computer I just use my computer’s earphone jack but since the volume on this TV has a great range, I found I don’t really need earphones as it can be heard just as clearly at a low volume as it can at a higher volume. The speakers give it a surround sound type feel and since they are “hidden”, I think it looks better aesthetically than say a Vizio that has them jutting out on the bottom.
Overall its a great TV for the price and I would purchase again if given a second chance.
5 Stars My First HDTV
Well after much research and a budget in mind LG 32LH20 got my attention and kept my attention. I was looking for more bang for my buck while getting quality in return without going over budget. So many brands to choose from yes but Although I fell in love with Vizio the audio was lacking and the contrast ratio was small compared to LG and I love Samsung but they were out of my budget. LG had the best picture quality with a high contrast ratio and tweaks galore to adjust the picture as you see fit. the audio is top notch for a 32 inch. so for the best picture and audio for the 32 inch Lg was the way to go for me. I also like the invisible speakers and the ports in the back its very clean looking and out of the way. I’m a big movie buff so I brought a blu-ray player as well. Lg I’m a happy man!

5 Stars Some Things Aren’t too Good to be True
I know, you look at the price and say how could they be for real? These cables are legit.
High priced A/V cables are one of the most common scams today. Do a little research and you’ll find that no name brand cables such as these are just as good as those $100 and up ones you see at the stores. So why do the stores do it? Because they know that many people are new to hi def and home theater and just do know any better. There are also some who will stubbornly stick by a brand (Monster for example) just for bragging rights. But at the end of the day, it’s just all the same thing and I’m glad there are companies like these out there that aren’t looking to put one over on us or gouge us for as much as they can. Just provide what we need for a great price.
I have 4 of these HDMI cables and they’ve done nothing but allow my equipment to provide the picture and sound I’m looking for from my hi def t.v.’s, receivers, and game system. I can’t recommend them enough to anyone, anywhere. Don’t be fooled by the stores and the sales people paid to convince you, you need to pay hundreds for cables. You don’t and there’s no reason to ever again!
5 Stars It works perfect.
This HDMI cable works and those people complaining about gold plating, brand, thickness, quality, etc etc, should know that HMDI cables are digital and they either work 100% or 0%. There are no grey areas. Assuming that you don’t use this cable for towing a car or hanging yourselves from a ceiling fan, these cables should last pretty long. So don’t buy those expensive branded cables which cost between $20 to $50 each. This cable surely works and works great. Get it!! Even though, I like buying brand names but it doesn’t make any sense here. Don’t waste your money on the expensive brand name cables.
5 Stars Fantastic deal!!
I actually found this item on Amazon for $30 less than Best Buy. Arrived in less than a week & works great.
4 Stars bought 2 cables & an HDMI switch
Works perfectly. No material defects. Short length is ideal for use with an HDMI switch.
5 Stars Will connect any two devices over HDMI and deliver the signal, error-free
[Anyone remembers the old "I am not going to spend a lot for this muffler" commercial?]
The 3 ft. is my favorite length to connect any electronics that happen to be very close to each other.
Just in case someone may feel guilty for not paying a lot more for a premium brand, it should be stated that at this length – 3 ft., you will get as good a service from a no-brand cable as you would from a super-expensive rip-off. An HDMI 1.3 cable should be able to carry, error free, all the signal your electronic equipment may put out.
The FUD campaign attempting to attract buyers toward the more expensive brands makes a series of claims. I will address them, as they may apply to this specific cable.
- Signal attenuation is less over a more expensive cable. – TRUE, BUT that’s irrelevant on a 3 ft. length. The HDMI consortium stated that even the cables that were not ‘certified’ as ‘Category 2′ or ‘High-Speed’ will meet the requirements at lengths of 6 ft. or less. At 3 ft., it would be a waste to consider an ‘expensive’ alternative. In addition, the newer devices have sufficient processing power and are sensitive enough to properly interpret even the more ambiguous ‘digits’ they receive.
- The expensive cables are better engineered and their contacts are less likely to break. – TRUE, BUT how many times is one going to plug an HDMI cable in and out of an HDMI socket over the cable’s lifetime? 5 times? 10 times? The ‘better engineered’ claim has no practical importance. If your cable works on ‘day one’ the odds are that it will be left in the back of your box for many month or years before it is unplugged and plugged back in. If this cable is purchased for home use, the ‘better engineered’ claim should not be of a major concern.
- The more expensive cables are ‘future proof’. – NOT TRUE. Claims are made that, if you buy the more expensive wires you won’t have to buy new ones when ‘new standards’ emerge because the more expensive wire will support them. This is untrue on 2 different levels. First, your cheap cable was purchased to work with some very specific devices which need HDMI 1.3 and will never support the ‘new standard’. The new standards will be supported by new electronic devices but, for as long as you keep the existing ones, you will still need this cable to connect them. Second, the emerging HDMI 1.4 specs call for physically different connectors so, no matter how large a bandwidth the existing expensive cables may support, it won’t matter because you still won’t able to plug them into an HDMI 1.4 port so… there go your $5 or… there go your $200, depending on your having purchased a ‘cheap’ or a ‘top of the line’ HDMI cable.

5 Stars Good Camera
Item arrived ahead of promised date in good condition. Charged battery and plugged in the sdhc memory card. Started taking picures and short videos. Happy with the quality of both. The HD video clips are pretty good. Love the wide angle lens. Did not use any advanced features. But the basic stuff is pretty good and that is what I do mostly. Yes, there is minor problem with the zoom induced noise with video, but not a big deal for me.
5 Stars Purchased Oct 2009
I spent a lot of time researching cameras and reading reviews. This is a good camera. The only downside is the location of the capture button. It causes you to reach a little and you tend to put you hand in the way of the flash. The picture quality and settings are great. The battery takes about 3hrs to charge, but lasted us the entire day.
3 Stars Takes nice pics but…..
I bought this camera simply because of past experiences with Samsung and the price point. The camera is beautiful but the rechargeable battery option is a pain in the butt. If you like to follow your kids around throughout the day or use it for 50 pics throughout the day…you will need to recharge the battery before the day is done. The PHD (push here dummy) button is not in the typical place, so it makes taking pics a little awkward because you are reaching past the button you would typically use and when you do hit the right button, it doesn’t take pics consistently causing you to lose shots, it has to be some sort of timing/focusing thing. The menus are intense and probably do a lot for you but I don’t have time to read it all. Standard pic files are over 3Mb. I returned my camera within a week and I am still using the A560 that I have had for a year or so.
5 Stars Amazing Camera!
This is an amazing, top of the line camera!
PRO’s:
DESIGN
The design is sleek and sophisticated, and although the camera is a bit bulky, it can still fit in my pocket. LCD screen does not scratch, which is great!
BEAUTY SHOT MODE:
I haven’t seen this kind of retouching on a digital camera before. The camera processes the image you just took and smooths the faces it detects, removing blemishes/wrinkles, etc. A great mode to make your skin look clearer, but make sure you’re taking photos in natural lighting (i.e. don’t rely only on the camera’s flash) when using this mode.
LENS
Wonderful wide angle lens, 10x zoom. Lens does not collect much dust, and the lens itself seems scratch resistant, but the rings around the lens can scratch easily.
VIDEO AND SOUND QUALITY
I was most impressed by the crisp HD video and sound quality when recording in VIDEO mode. The video quality rivals that of entry-level camcorders.
CONS
MANUAL MODE
Like other digital cameras, you can’t do too much in the “Manual” mode on this camera. Aperture can’t be changed much, but shutter speed goes to 1/1500.
USB CABLE / BATTERY CHARGER
A huge disadvantage for me is that you must actually connect the camera (via USB cable) to an outlet to charge the battery — there is no separate, plug in charger for the battery alone. Also, the USB port on the camera is a very strange shape, which can lead to some confusion as to how to plug in the cable.
Overall, probably the best camera you can get for the price!
4 Stars Everything you could ask for…
I must admit I was rather skeptical about this camera at first despite the positive reviews on Amazon. After careful exam of the spec sheet, I decided to give it a try and took it to a recent family trip to Europe. So far, the Samsung has been able to handle everything I throw at it.
I’m a dSLR shooter and consider myself savvy and accomplished. The primary reason I picked this camera was due to its valuable optical range and HD video capability, and this camera really shines in both areas. From about 10′ away on my 52″ Samsung LCD screen, it is pretty hard to detect any difference between broadcasted HD programming and the video clips I shot.
Here is my brief impression on Samsung HZ15W:
Pros:
Extremely useful zoom range at 24-240mm
HD video (720p) with zooming capability
True plug-n’-play via mini HDMI connection to HDTV
Dual Image Stabilizer works as advertised in low lighting
Three aspect ratios: 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9
PAUSE feature in video mode provides one continuous clip up to 30-min
Good 3″ LCD screen (460k)
Intuitive manual system
Cons:
Relatively slow handling
Below average battery life
Bulky and heavy
Long flash recycle time
Average image quality
Default setting produces under-saturated colors
In my opinion, if someone only wants to carry one camera on any trip or event, this is the one to get. It is not an outstanding camera by any means but it does anything relative well with no major shortcomings. However, there’re reviews posted online questioning the durability of this camera which I think any potential buyer should to be aware of.

5 Stars Why pay more
I used to buy the expensive cables, now I buy these. Haven’t noticed a difference yet, got a few cheap hdmi cables, a hdmi/dvi cable, and an optical audio cable. Work great.

5 Stars Cables work fine
Installed them and they work as advertised. Got good a good price, good delivery time and a product that works. I will buy from these guys again.
5 Stars Great quality! Great Price!
Definitely don’t go for the expensive wires! The affordable ones that you find here work just as good as those expensive ones. I bought this one to use with my laptop and my HD LCD TV and it works great!
1 Star never got them
I never recv’d these cables, the USPS claims they were delivered because of signature confirmation (of one of their postman) but I never saw them. The company has been less than helpful about replacing or reordering. First bad experience I’ve had through Amazon, fortunately they weren’t anything very expensive.
5 Stars TESTED THESE CABLES and the PASSED
I recently had the opportunity to test these HDMI cables with equipment
running at 1080p 60Hz with HDCP 148.5MHz The results were very positive.
Please note that success at 1080p depends on a lot of factors including quality
of TMDS transmitters, receivers, and anything you might have connected to the
cables like HDMI switches, repeaters, HDMI>DVD adapters, etc., therefore these
test results should be taken as a data point and not as a guarantee the cables
will be problem free @ 1080p with your specific equipment.
For example, during initial testing I had discovered through process of elimination
that one of the HDMI>DVI adapters I was using could not reliably pass 1080p. At
first I thought the cables were the issue, but after switching out the adapters, the
cables worked great.
Also please note, even though some of these cables are listed as only 1080i certified,
they did nevertheless pass 1080p without issues for the equipment combination I used.
See this post for what was tested at the factory:
http://www.avsforum.com/avsvb/show…4&post6953664
The process of listing a cable as passing visual inspection involved looking at black
screen for 30 seconds to detect sparkles, then watching video for 1 minute to detect
additional artifacts.
Sharp LC45GX6U is a 1920×1080 LCD display which accepts 1080p and 1080p/hdcp when
devices are connected directly to the panel, bypassing the external video processor.
Hope you find this information useful.

5 Stars Cheap but Ultra High Quality Cable from Monster-Cable-N-More
These are well made cables and at a CHEAP price. I dont know how they can sell such quality made cables at such a low price but somehow they do, and Im glad. With Fast shipping, I got the 3 cables I ordered quickly and as Advertised.
Really, you would have to be a complete Idiot to throw a Hundred Plus on some Way overpriced Monster Cable Garbage that uses lots of False advertising to get suckers to fall for it. Guess what, these cables are also Lifetime Warranty, not like youll ever need to worry about it. Stores like to display Side By Side Test Displays, and show one with Monster Cable in use and the other with a Generic cable, and of course the one using Monster is BETTER. What most people dont notice is that the picture on the Generic Cable Display and been purposely screwed up to look bad, or whats even better, they use a Composite connection on the Generic HDTV Display, (which means its not even showing a HD Picture) and a HDMI connection on the Monster setup. Most people arent going to try and see the cables and the hookups that are behind out of sight.
You could buy one of these new cables every year, for YEARS before you ever caught up to the price of buying a single Monster (Rip-Off) cable. HDMI is also a DIGITAL signal, as in 1s and 0s being passed though the cable, or as in On/Off, Power, No power. You either get a picture or you dont. Its not like a Analog single were the picture can get worse and worse.
